The Guthrie County Hospital Foundation is holding its third annual 5k event tomorrow.
Foundation Director Dennis Flanery explains that the event has been held at various times the first two years, but tomorrow was chosen to coincide with October’s Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Month and National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, allowing for attention to both causes. Participants can choose to run or walk the 5k. Registration is available on the day of the race from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM for those who haven’t signed up in advance.
The race will begin and end at the hospital. The registration fee for the 5k is $25 for individuals 19 years and older, and $20 for those 18 and under. Children aged 12 and under can also participate in a 1k race for a fee of $20. To conclude the day’s activities, a Health Fair will be in the hospital’s fitness center.
