It’s a battle of two teams with playoff aspirations tonight at Linduska Field in Jefferson in Class 3A District 6 football. Longtime rivals Carroll High and Greene County. Coach Caden Duncan’s Rams are 4-1 overall and the Tigers are 2-3, but both are 1-0 in district play.
Caden Duncan is the head coach of the Rams. He talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the Tigers and noted Carroll’s five games have all been decided by eight or fewer points. They’ve played a difficult schedule. The Tigers are a run-first team and a great example of that is in their 33-28 victory last Friday vs. Harlan Community, the Tigers ran 66 plays on offense with 56 of those on the ground. Coach Duncan has been impressed on film by Carroll and emphasized the Rams will need to take advantage of opportunities and to win the turnover battle.
Coverage on KG98 and streaming on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com starts at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff at 7 o’clock.
