The 11th Annual PerryDice Cruiser Car and Motorcycle Show is taking place today in Perry.

According to Co-Founder Joe Shelly, there were between 35-40 vehicles apart of the inaugural event in 2014 when he and Dean Berkland organized the show. Shelly highlights that there will be over 200 vehicles at today’s event.

Shelly details that 55 Perry businesses will be giving away raffle prizes and that people can qualify for a ticket, but will need to make a donation to the Raccoon River Pet Rescue, as the money will help buy supplies for their shelter, with the event itself being free. Shelly expresses his excitement for the event, as he is also participating in it.

“I’m all about my toys. Every year and throughout the driving and car season, we meet the same guys and we talk about cars and how we’re going to keep these cars on the road and the history of the vehicles. What year was it made, where was it made at, what was going on during those times? Those are some of my favorite things.”

Shelly warns residents that most of 2nd Street will be unavailable due to the event going on today from 10am-2pm. Additionally, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be playing music for the duration of the event.
