ACGC rolled past Central Decatur Friday at Jarman Field, 49-6, in Class A District 7 action. The victory is the sixth straight to begin the year for the Chargers and 22nd straight regular season win. It was all smiles before, during, and after the Homecoming game for ACGC.
As heard on KKRF2 stream, the home team scored the first seven touchdowns in the game as they built a 49-0 lead at half. The defense wasted no time for the Chargers as a pick six from Brexton Schneider gave them an early 7-0 lead in the opening seconds. Schneider found pay dirt two more times on rushes. Xander Harwood scored the second defensive touchdown for the Chargers on a fumble return.
The Chargers remain perfect 6-0 (4-0). A playoff spot was clinched in the win.
ACGC hits the road next Friday for a date with AHSTW in Avoca.
