A Perry man was recently sentenced to probation following a vehicular incident that occurred this past July.

According to court documents, 22-year-old Christian Skylar Love pleaded guilty on the charges of an aggravated misdemeanor for child endangerment substantial risk and an amended charge for an aggravated misdemeanor for reckless driving, and was sentenced to probation for two years with the Iowa Department of Correctional Services. 

The charges stem from an incident on July 2nd, where a female victim told Perry Police that Love attempted to use his vehicle to strike her vehicle on the driver’s side, which caused the vehicle to spin out and hit the curb. 

Court documents show that Love was also ordered to pay a civil penalty of $960. As per the plea agreement, the aggravated misdemeanors for domestic abuse assault and assault charges were dismissed.
