The AC/GC Chargers cross country teams are working towards the end of the season.

Head Coach Rick Blake says that the teams have been progressing well each week this season, with athletes repeatedly improving their times from the beginning of the season. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that after the meet they attend in Jewell this week, they will host the conference meet on October 16th, and then host the state qualifying meet on October 23rd. Blake mentions why that is a good thing for the teams.

“So that gives us a huge advantage getting to run on our home course for those big meets. So we’re looking forward to it. Really good teams coming for both of those meets.

Blake shares that this is now the second year in a row that the Chargers have hosted both of these big meets. He adds that this also allows family, friends and the community to attend both of the big meets.
