As the city and school board elections are coming up next month, the Dallas County absentee ballot request deadline closes soon.

According to County Auditor Todd Halbur, October 15th is the first day that in-person absentee voting begins and runs through November 3rd at 4:30pm. He notes that the absentee ballot request deadline is set for 5pm on October 20th, and those ballots can then be returned by mail or dropped off inside their office at 210 North 10th Street, in Adel.

Halbur concludes that the final day to drop off absentee ballots is on Election Day, November 4th at 8pm at the Auditor’s Office. To access the absentee ballot request form, click here.
