The Panorama School Board approved and adopted a new handbook during their regular meeting in September.
Superintendent Kasey Huebner tells Raccoon Valley Radio more about what the handbook is for.
“What that does is just allows all of our programs to be on the same page, have consistent expectations, have something to fall on if there’s a situation. But (it’s) really a communication tool for all of our families for activities, and make sure they know what the expectation is when they’re representing Panorama.”
Huebner mentions that the handbook is a collaborative work between the district’s activities director, sports coaches, and activity sponsors to put together some rules and regulations that students taking part in extracurricular activities, along with the coaches and sponsors themselves will follow. He adds that this also cleared up some confusing rules and policies that were previously in place.
