In their regular meeting for September, the West Central Valley School Board approved some amendments to some of their policies.
Superintendent Rusty Shockley says that this is an annual motion that is passed by the Board, and tells Raccoon Valley Radio why that is.
“There’s always policy changes that come out of each year’s legislature and we take them a few at a time and go through them so that we have everything in place by about this time of the year from the last legislative session.”
Shockley mentions that the Board spent several months going over new legislation passed in the most recent session, and seeing which policies required changes. He adds that one such change was the one regarding student use of personal electronic devices during learning hours.
