
Adel-DeSoto-Minburn senior Eliza Schmidt represented well with the Waukee Warriors for Swimming and Diving, taking home the top prize in the Marcussen Invitational in Cedar Falls on Saturday.
Waukee came in second place behind the host school of Cedar Falls. Schmidt, who dives, was named the champion with her Warrior teammate Nellie Streit coming in second. Tiger senior Emma Popp placed fourth in the 200 Yard Individual Medley and was 4th in the 500 Yard Freestyle, and was apart of the 5th place team in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay. ADM junior Finlee Burns was 4th in the 50 Yard Freestyle, 4th in the 100 Yard Fly, marked 5th as part of the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay and was also in the 200 Yard Medley Relay that captured 4th.
Schmidt, Popp, and Burns will have the entire week to practice before they travel to the Johnston Invitational this Saturday at Summit Middle School, starting at 8:30am.
