The 12th-ranked Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Volleyball Team will be vying for their fourth Raccoon River Conference victory and 19th win overall, as they hit the road to Bondurant tonight.
The Tigers will attempt to move up in the conference, as they currently sit fourth, but can surpass the Bluejays who are straight ahead in third. ADM senior Elise Coghlan has 440 assists coming into tonight’s match, while Bondurant-Farrar’s senior Kailynn Arens is at 401.
Tiger sophomore Ella Subbert has accumulated 44 blocks, and it’s Bluejay sophomore Kaylee Hansen racking up 36 on the year. ADM Head Coach Trevor Irwin says at this point in the season, he’s working with the girls to lock in on the mental side prior to a game.
“That’s what a lot of people see on the court is how we are performing physically, but when we have this luxury of our eight seniors and trying to maintain high standards and high values, and really trying to drive our program from going from good to great. That’s something that I need to do more of, but continue to talk about that inside of our program and try to make sure that that standard is held high.”
The Bluejays lead the historical series over the Tigers 15-10, but ADM has won the past three times. The single match will set off at 7:15pm tonight from Bondurant-Farrar High School.
