The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library will be hosting a special guest for their Story Hour this Friday.

Library Director Jerri Hawkins says that they are having Cold-Blooded Redhead Owner Lindsay Butikofer come in for a presentation on reptiles. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio why she wanted to bring in the presenter.

“I just thought it was kind of a fun activity for the kids to maybe learn and touch some reptiles that you’re not going to see in other places. And she does an amazing job from what I’ve heard from other libraries. So we’re just looking forward to hosting her.”

Hawkins mentions that Friday Story Hours usually start at 10am, but this Friday they will begin at 11am. She adds that the event is free and open to the public, especially for children, and thanks the Friends of the Guthrie Center Library, and the Guthrie County Community Foundation for sponsoring the special program.
