Greene County High School volleyball is on a roll with wins in seven of its last eight matches. The latest victory was on Monday in Jefferson over West Marshall (State Center) in three sets by scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-11.
Elle Happe’s serving was a big factor, especially in set two when she served 10 straight points including eight ace serves, and seven of those aces were in a row! Happe talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about what she’s thinking when she’s on one of those hot streaks at the service line. “I’m just really excited and it’s fun seeing everyone else get hyped, and I think it really lifts the whole team up when we get on a streak like that, so it’s just an honor to be able to do that!”
Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams are 4-1 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play and 13-9 overall. They’ll stay in the conference tomorrow night with a match in Jewell vs. South Hamilton.
