
A recent Perry graduate wasted no time showcasing her swimming talents in college. The former Jayette and now University of South Dakota Coyote, Quin Mahler-Moreno, picked up her first win in college last Friday.
In the opening meet of the season, South Dakota defeated Minnesota State 218.5-81.5. Mahler-Moreno claimed first in the 500 Freestyle (5:15.37). The freshman was also apart of the 200 Medley that took gold.
Mahler-Moreno, a 2025 Perry graduate, holds four individual Jayette team records while being apart of the three fastest relay records.
South Dakota travels to Minneapolis on Friday for a triangular with Nebraska and Minnesota.
