The AC/GC Chargers football team continued to perform well, this week with a 42-14 victory over the AHSTW Vikings.
The Chargers started off with the ball as the Vikings chose to defer, and they were able to score quickly. They then stopped AHSTW, and punched in another score to end the first quarter up 14-0. In the second quarter, the Vikings punted the ball away, and were able to force the Chargers to start at their own one yard line, the furthest back they’d had to start a drive all season.
AC/GC was able to work their way out, and made it to the Vikings 44 yard line, where they shocked everyone in attendance with a pass play, which ended in a touchdown catch. The Chargers were able to once again stop the Vikings on downs, and took the ball back the other way, and threw once again, this time for 41 yards, and ending with a rushing touchdown, going into the halftime break up 28-0. AHSTW started the second half with the ball, and after a big kickoff return and a big rush by their quarterback, were able to finally get on the scoreboard. The Chargers quickly scored, stopped the Vikings, and scored once more to go up 42-7 going into the final quarter.
AHSTW scored once more in the fourth quarter, but after that the score didn’t change, and AC/GC ended the night with the 42-14 victory, and a 7-0 season record.
