A children’s development center in the Perry community will be home to a public event on Saturday to show its updates made to the facility.
Presby Child Care, 1323 4th Street, is hosting an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony after the recent expansion. According to Director Nicole Thelen, the organization remodeled their space and was able to open additional rooms in order to care for more children. She explains that families will be able to stop by, look around the building, and ask questions to staff members. Thelen loves the opportunity to work with kids and watching them develop.
“Getting to see them grow, as a lot of our kids start as infants and when they leave, they’re in grade school, and so it’s really great to see them grow and achieve milestones and get to be in their lives.”
Thelen describes that Presby Child Care is a bilingual facility that serves children from ages six- weeks old to 11-year-olds, with fees ranging from $150-$250. She adds that the ribbon cutting is happening on Saturday at 10am, with the open house to follow for free.
