Heads up for Jefferson residents, the bi-annual water main flushing procedure is underway.
Public Works Director Dave Morlan says the Water Department will be clearing out water mains today through Thursday. He explains that crews will be exercising the water mains to help provide additional maintenance, so that issues like rust don’t build up within the water lines.
“They’ll be doing a different section of town everyday. Residents might notice some discoloration in the water afterwards. But they just would need to run the water for a few minutes and it’ll clear up.”
