The Adel Chamber of Commerce is holding an event on Tuesday to allow residents to learn more about the local mayoral and city council candidates running in the upcoming election.

According to Chamber Communications and Member Engagement Coordinator Casey Wheeler, the organization is hosting a Council and Mayoral Forum in Adel that will be on next month’s ballot. She shares that all candidates have agreed to participate, including Jim Peters as the incumbent candidate for mayor and challenger Timothy Crannell, along with city council candidates Randy Cornelison, Nate Hawkins, and Eric Trout. Wheeler elaborates the reason behind holding the event.

“The chamber has hosted it in the past during election years. I think that we are just able to give a non-bias hosting stance.”

Wheeler details that the forum is open for people to stop by and ask candidates questions. She confirms that the event is taking place this coming Tuesday inside the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School Auditorium from 6:30-8pm. To answer questions ahead of time, click here.
