Early voting for the city/school elections are underway.

According to the Greene County Auditor’s Office, any eligible voter that wants to cast their ballot via absentee, must first fill out an application form. Tori Gettler with the Auditor’s Office says the final day to submit those applications is Monday, October 20th. She points out that individuals who have already submitted their absentee ballot request should receive their ballot in the mail, as the first day to do that is today and the last day for absentee ballots to be mailed out is this coming Monday.

Gettler notes that anyone who has an absentee ballot that was mailed to them can return them a few different ways, including hand delivery to their office in the Greene County Courthouse Mondays through Fridays from 8am-4:30pm, they can mail in their ballots or drop them off in the ballot drop box located on the east side of the courthouse.

Gettler adds that their office is open for anyone wanting to vote early now as well. The final day for all mailed absentee ballots to be returned to the Auditor’s Office is by 8pm on Election Day, November 4th. On Election Day, the polls will be open from 7am-8pm.
