The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday morning.
The Board approved the first consideration of a resolution declaring emergency medical services as an essential service in the county, then heard from Health Services Director Jotham Arber. In his report, Arber shared that Public Health will be making some changes to their sliding scale payment system in anticipation of some changes coming down from the federal level, and are also renegotiating some contracts with health maintenance organizations, and are trying a new approach to budgeting. The Board then entered into a closed session to discuss Heart of Iowa Community Services with County Attorney Dana Minteer.
