The Stuart Public Library will be celebrating some of their biggest supporters towards the end of the month.

Librarian Rachel Majerus says that the week of October 19th to 25th is Friends of the Library Week, and that they will be celebrating the Stuart People Active for Library Service (PALS) with their annual appreciation luncheon. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they celebrate the group.

“We are able to offer so much more thanks to the volunteers that contribute to the library programming. And for anybody that is interested in becoming a Friends of the Library, a PAL, or is looking for more opportunities to volunteer in their community, we encourage you to stop by, maybe get signed up.”

Majerus mentions that the luncheon will take place on October 27th, following the appreciation week, and will begin at noon.
