An Adair man has died after a motorcycle crash early Thursday morning.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, 20 year old Devon Ernst was traveling westbound on Interstate 80, and turned onto the off ramp at Adair. The report states that Ernst navigated the turn with too much speed, and left the roadway before striking a culvert. He was thrown from the motorcycle, and was not wearing a helmet or protective gear. Ernst was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
