
The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) recently announced grant funding for various projects and Dallas County is one of the recipients
According to a press release, the NWTF Iowa Board of Directors budgeted $78,611 for conservation projects and research support, of which Dallas County will get $5,000 for timber stand improvement projects. The Board also designated $20,995 for outreach-education events, youth shooting sports support, and other general programming support.
The NWTF announces that the conservation project funding is being matched with $2.6 million in partner and grant contributions for approved projects. The organization adds that NWTF volunteers raise money at banquets and other fundraising throughout the year to give back to local communities.
