During the month of October, the Bouton Fire Department has opened its Haunted Church, and will feature a few opportunities left for the 2025 season.
According to Fire Captain Karl Harris, the haunted church started on October 4th and says that the event has attracted good crowds from around Dallas County. He illustrates that the church features spooky creatures like clowns, skeletons, snakes, and theatrical smoke. Harris points out that the haunted church is open to all ages, but not everyone will have the same experience.
“If it’s a group like smaller kids, we tone it down so we don’t scare them as bad. But we can ramp it down so it’s more family friendly.”
Harris explains that the cost to enter is $5 for youth 12 and under, and $10 for everyone else, and that the proceeds are going toward adding a third bay at the fire station to store more trucks. The haunted church is on 109 South Street in Bouton, and will be open tomorrow, Saturday, and next Friday on Halloween from 7-10pm.
Other beggar nights happening on Saturday feature Redfield and Dexter from 5-7pm, and then Dallas Center from 6-8pm.
