The Dallas County Conservation Board is inviting people to help clean up nature with a fun fall event on Saturday.

Outreach Coordinator Jeni Baker describes that the conservation is holding its annual Voas Volunteer Day at the Nature Area, 19286 Lexington Road, in Minburn to assist in clearing vegetation at the oak savanna. She acknowledges that people will be going hands on by cutting honeysuckle, cedar trees, and autumn olive using loppers and handsaws.

Baker encourages anyone looking to fill Master Gardener volunteer hours or that just want to help the environment are welcome to attend. She concludes that people should register beforehand, but that the event is completely free and is happening Saturday from 9am-noon.
