The Perry community is seeing a revitalization of life in terms of bringing more employment to town, including a European company opening its headquarters in central Iowa.

A.D.R. Axles USA held a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday to officially mark the beginning of construction of their first facility in the United States with the headquarters in Perry. A.D.R. Axles USA President Chiara Radrizzani explains that the company produces axles and suspension for agricultural machinery and special applications. She shares that A.D.R. Axles visited many cities in different states around the country, and reveals how the group ultimately decided on choosing Perry.

“We traveled a lot from Kansas to Indiana (and) Illinois. And then finally, by chance, we ended up in Iowa. It was not on our original plan, but things in life sometimes just happen. And we visited this site in Perry, and we thought ‘that’s the place for us’. The land is perfect for us, exact dimension, very supportive town, same values, not far from Des Moines, so from the city we can find management, so everything was perfect.”

A.D.R. Axles USA Project Leader Simone Riondato says that the company will bring between 35-50 jobs to the community and the construction cost approximately $14 million, which is scheduled to occur throughout 2026, with the facility up and running by January 2027.
