
On Friday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs football team travel to Cedar Rapids to wrap up the regular season against the Cedar Rapids Kennedy Cougars. The Mustangs picked up the victory in the end, defeating the Cougars 14-7.
Down 7-0 in the second quarter, the Mustangs began to battle back offensively after a slow start. Ozzy Grimm rushed the Mustangs to victory, scoring both touchdowns to push DCG ahead in the final minutes of the fourth. Grimm tied the game up in the second quarter with three minutes left, rushing in from 10 yards out to bring the score to 7-7. A back and forth contest in the second half, the Mustang defense prevailed however, keeping the Cougars from scoring while Grimm would rush in again, rushing in from 30 yards to secure the Mustang victory 14-7.
DCG awaits their fate for a post season run and finish the regular season with a 7-2 record defeating Cedar Rapids Kennedy 14-7.
