The West Central Valley School Board approved the renewal of a few agreements in their October Meeting.

Superintendent Rusty Shockley says that the Board discussed two agreements up for renewal this year. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they chose to continue with one of them is because they are happy with the agreement.

“Our drivers ed contract was up for renewal. So we did choose to stay with Southwest Iowa drivers ed, and we’ll continue that.”

Shockley mentions that the other agreement was with Iowa State University, and is what allows student teachers from ISU to get some of the hours they need student teaching for their degree.
