The Perry community has recently held groundbreaking events for JBS USA Prepared Foods and A.D.R. Axles USA Incorporated, but will recognize three newly finished city projects on Wednesday.

According to Perry’s Marketing and Engagement Coordinator Chris Cohea, the city will be holding ribbon cutting ceremonies for the Iowa Street Stormwater Wetland, Frog Creek Restoration, and the Wastewater Treatment Facility projects. He shares the events that will happen at different times and will feature remarks from city officials, project engineers, and distinguished guests.

Cohea emphasizes that the projects help incorporate sustainable stormwater management practices and innovative design elements that enhance access to natural environments within urban areas. He illustrates that following the ceremony for the Wastewater Treatment Facility, residents will have an opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art building to provide a behind the scenes look at the advanced treatment technologies.

Cohea details that the ribbon cuttings will take place at 10am for the Iowa Street Stormwater Wetland project at the intersection of Iowa Street and 26th Street, at noon for the Frog Creek Restoration project at Pattee Park on West 3rd Street, and 1pm for the Wastewater Treatment Facility at 14323 Ivy Place. He concludes that all the events are free to attend and open to the public.
