The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an infant.

According to Sheriff Adam Infante, first responders were called to a daycare on Jones Street in Perry on Monday for an unresponsive seven-month-old boy. Infante states that the baby was taken to a hospital in Des Moines and on Thursday the boy passed away. He adds that no criminal charges have been filed at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
