The Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is ready for their November library events.
Program Director Shelby Van Horn says that they will have five different events throughout the month. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the theme for November is “Super Shapes.”
“We kind of just try to pick different fun lessons from our curriculum. We use all research-based curriculum, STEM-related curriculum. And so we just really wanted to kind of do something fun. We have kind of done some that tied in with the holidays and themes for the fall. So we decided that shapes would be something fun to kind of explore and learn a little bit more about.”
Van Horn mentions that the first event is on November 6th at 10am at the Stuart Public Library, followed up by one at the Menlo Public Library on November 10th at 2pm. She adds that the third program will be held at the Casey Public Library on November 12th at 2pm, with the fourth to be at the Panora Public Library at 4pm on November 13th, and the final event will be at the Bayard Public Library on November 19th at 4pm.
