Kaycee Pittman

Kaycee Pittman represents Greene County High School this morning at 10:30 in the Class 2A girls’ five kilometers (3.1 miles) State Cross-Country Championships north of Ft. Dodge at Kennedy Park and the Lakeside Municipal Golf Course. Pittman is a volleyball player who joined the cross-country team earlier this month. She qualified for State by placing eleventh at the 2A State Qualifying Meet Oct. 23 at the Eagle Grove Golf Course.

Today’s race will be just the fourth at this distance for the 800 meter State Track & Field performer. Greene County head coach Jeff Lamoureux told Raccoon Valley Radio since she had only a few practices and two regular season meets prior to Oct. 23, she made it to State on heart and determination.
