A program with Dallas County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach that focuses on building up the family dynamic will be happening on Tuesday.

According to Extension Marketing Manager Sarah Wood, the organization will hold the first session in the Strengthening Families series. She explains that the program is designed to educate families on managing emotions, setting goals, as well as developing strategies to combat peer pressure. 

Wood outlines that the seven-part class will begin at 5:30pm on Tuesdays through December 16th, but families are welcome to a meal provided beforehand at 5pm. She adds that the program is geared toward youth ages 10-14 as well as their parents/guardians. Wood invites everyone to join, as it will be free, and held at New Hope Church, 25712 Highway 6, in Adel.
