In their October meeting, the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center School Boards heard about certified enrollment.

Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that the certified enrollment numbers were something all schools had to have completed on October 15th, the same day as their meeting. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio about what those look like for AC/GC

“When we look at certified enrollment there are two numbers, one’s just the certified enrollment that counts all students residing within our school district and basically regardless of where they go to school that’s your certified enrollment. And for us the Guthrie Center was down three and Adair Casey was down one.

Rasmussen mentions that the second number that districts look at is their Basic Educational Data Survey (BEDS) number, which are the total amount of students served by the district. He adds that the Guthrie Center district lost 13, while Adair – Casey gained 14.
