
Election Day is closing in and Greene County has seen some ballots already cast for the city/school election.
According to Greene County Auditor Billie Jo Hoskins, as of Thursday, 395 people voted absentee. She points out that 61 ballots have been mailed, which are included in the 395 total absentees, and 11 have not been returned. Monday is the final early voting day in the east lobby of the Greene County Courthouse, from 8am-4:30pm.
Hoskins reviews the polling locations for Election Day. Eligible voters in the Jefferson 1 and 2 Precincts are to go to the Greene County Community Center. Those individuals in the Central Precinct must vote at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. People who live in the East Precinct are to cast their ballot at St. Brigid Parish Center in Grand Junction. The polling location for the North Precinct is the Churdan Public Library. Voters can cast a ballot in the West Precinct at the Community Room in Scranton.
On Election Day, polls will be open from 7am-8pm. Following the election, Raccoon Valley Radio will have results at 9, 10 and 11pm, as well as on raccoonvalleyradio.com and the Raccoon Valley Radio Facebook page, later that evening and the next day.
