The AC/GC volleyball team finished their season last week, and Head Coach Caley Vaughan takes a look back on how the season went.

Vaughan mentions that with it being her first year as the head coach, there were a few things she had to learn before the season started. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio one of the things that the team as a whole learned as they got ready.

“I think a big thing that we had to overcome this season was losing our setter last year, Shay Lemke. And so having a new setter, Becca Littler, she did a great job for us, so I think that was just a big change with the team, and just getting to know the different ways that she does things. She has played four years for us in other positions, but it was her first time doing setting. So that was a big thing that we learned this summer.”

Vaughan shares that a big goal of theirs before the season started was to improve upon the previous year by increasing their wins, and that they were able to do that by going 24-12, building upon their 20-11 record for last year. Vaughan mentions that she’s happy with the season that the team had, and is proud of the work that the girls put into it.
