The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office recently received a donation from a business.
Sheriff Matt Harmann says that the Tractor Supply Company Foundation made a donation of $250 to their local Hometown Heroes program. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the department’s reserve team was able to accept the donation, and adds that the reserve program is funded through donations similar to the K-9 program.
Harmann mentions that there are currently eight reserve deputies who volunteer their time. He shares that support from businesses and individuals like this makes a huge impact to help keep the reserve team trained and supplied with the necessary gear and equipment. Harmann explains that the reserve program is a major asset for the Sheriff’s Office, helping with a variety of tasks when and where they are needed. He also extends thanks to Tractor Supply for the generous donation.
