Tight End Jesse Miller

Greene County High School 2023 graduate Jesse Miller and his U. of South Dakota football teammates upset top 10 ranked North Dakota, 26-21 on Saturday in Vermillion.  The Football Championship Series (FCS) Missouri Valley Football Conference contest saw USD improve to 6-4 overall while UND fell to 6-3. The Fighting Hawks were ranked in the FCS top 10 prior to Saturday’s game.

Miller caught a career high four passes from his tight end position, totaling 35 yards. Used almost exclusively as a blocker early in the season, he caught his first career touchdown pass on Oct. 25, and followed that up with four catches in the upset win over the Fighting Hawks.

The two FCS teams in South Dakota meet in Vermillion this Saturday at 3 p.m. when the South Dakota State Jackrabbits visit the USD Coyotes.
