The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Cross Country Team had great contributions from each individual on their squad, which guaranteed them a spot in the Class 3A State Meet during the 2025 season.

The Tigers made it back to the state meet as a team for the first time in two years, as they were once again led by sophomore Elliotte Von Roden. She was the lone representative that traveled to state in the 2024 season, but much more consistency from the top five this year saw the whole team qualify.

During the state qualifying meet in Pella, ADM placed second to guarantee their spot in the state meet, where the Tigers would go onto place 11th. The top five finishers at the state meet for ADM included Von Roden, Allie Eggleston, Addy Bjork, Ella Popp, and Lydia Georgick. Head Coach Steve Brown is proud of the girls effort, but also the encouragement they bring to the table.

“This is a hard sport. And so the girls really do a good job on this squad of supporting each other, lifting each other up, and that is so important to overall success.”

The Tigers will be losing eight girls to graduation, including Popp, Alaina Nelson, Brenna Seidl, Brecken Morse, Rhyan Miller, Jaeley Doll, Haley Nelson, and Haley James.
