Adel-DeSoto-Minburn senior Eliza Schmidt is moving onto the state diving meet, following qualifying in Marshalltown on Thursday.

ADM, which partners with the Waukee School District for swimming and diving, traveled to Marshalltown on Thursday for regionals. During the competition, Schmidt accumulated a total score of 400.45 in the 11-dive category for eighth place overall. Her Waukee teammate of Neelie Street finished sixth with a 419.2 final score. Winning first place was Grinnell’s Camryn Russell at a 480.4.

Schmidt will compete at the state meet this next Thursday and Friday, November 13th and 14th at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
