As the United States gears up to honor the brave men and women who served in the military, many organizations in Dallas County will be closed for Veterans Day.

According to Perry Marketing and Engagement Coordinator Chris Cohea, city hall, the Water Works Office, the library, and the McCreary Community Building will be closed on Tuesday in observance of the holiday. However, he notes that members of the McCreary Building over the age of 18 will still be able to access the 24-Hour Fitness Room. Cohea adds that garbage routes will be pushed back a day and there will be no yard waste collection on Wednesday.

In Adel, City Hall, the Parks and Recreation Department, the library and the Dallas County Courthouse will not be open. In addition, the Dallas County Supervisors meeting is being moved to Wednesday in recognition of Veterans Day.
