The Greene County Board of Supervisors will meet today.

The meeting will begin at 8:30am with the first tier of the canvass of votes from the recent city/school election.

The Board will hear an update from the Jefferson City Administrator, and then will discuss an amendment to the zoning ordinance for procedures to issue conditional use permits for digital mining facilities and data centers. They will also consider approving a contract for the Sheriff’s Office to use telehealth care for prisoners, the homestead and military disallowances, and three resolutions to transfer funds from the American Rescue Plan Act to the general fund for the HVAC project at the Greene County Courthouse, tax increment financing (TIF) to debt service for the career academy and from TIF funding to the debt service for the recently completed first phase of the county road projects.

Additionally, the Board will consider approving a $500 payment to the Iowa State Association of Counties for drafting a brief to appeal to the Iowa Supreme Court and they will open bids for the snow removal and ground maintenance at the courthouse grounds. They will also pay claims for November 10th and then serve as the Drainage District Board of Trustees to pay a contractor for work completed in DD104 and paying AgriVia for Drainage District Clerk responsibilities.
