With the fall season fully underway, one asset at the Jefferson city parks is closed for the year.
Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department Director Nathan Kral says the restrooms have been winterized until next spring, which means each of those facilities at the city parks are closed. However, he says the parks are still usable, along with one other amenity.
“If they want to rent the shelter houses, they for sure can use it. They just won’t have restroom access.”
Kral adds that if someone wants to reserve a shelter house for $10, they need to contact the Greene County Community Center at 515-386-3412 or stop in to sign up.
