A Jefferson man was recently arrested for another alleged domestic abuse incident.
According to court documents, a Jefferson Police Officer responded to a call of an apparent domestic assault Tuesday night. Court documents show that the victim told officers that 58-year-old Anthony Nunez was drunk and accused the victim of cheating.
The criminal complaint states that the victim claimed the argument turned physical when the victim tried calling another individual, including being pushed and choked with a shirt. The two witnesses said they could hear there was a struggle coming from inside the home.
Nunez was then arrested and charged with a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for domestic abuse assault and a misdemeanor for violating a no contact order with the victim that was issued on August 15th, when Nunez was previously charged with the same felony. He was booked into the Greene County Jail.
