The girls and boys varsity basketball teams from Greene County High School will be participating in an Achieve Scrimmage on Friday, Nov. 21 in Panora vs. the Panorama Panthers. The Achieve Challenge is a voluntary statewide community service initiative for high schools. Team are encouraged, but not required to participate.
Greene County has chosen a food drive as its service project connected to Achieve, according to Activities Director Dave Wright.
Admission can be charged, teams will be in uniform, licensed officials will be used, so it’s like an official game, only it doesn’t count on the win/loss record.
