The Iowa Water Color Society currently has one of their art shows in Greenfield until the end of the month.
President Glenda Plazoy says that the group is made up of many water color artists wanting to enjoy the medium, see what their peers are doing as well, and share their works with others. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that members also have opportunities to attend programs to help improve their craft.
“This spring we’re going to have David Becker for an in-person workshop. And then in the fall we have two three-day sessions, so a total of six days of painting with a master watercolorist, and her name is Debbie Freis-Pettit. So people can check out both of those artists.”
Plazoy mentions that besides the traveling show currently at the Warren Cultural Center in Greenfield, they also have a miniature show at the Ankeny Art Show. SHe adds that those interested in joining the group can do so by visiting their website, iowawatercolorsociety.org.
