After being selected to serve on the Adel City Council, Eric Trout is hoping to bring more transparency to the community.
Trout, along with Nate Hawkins, were elected during the November city council and school board ballots to fill two vacant positions. He shares that his goal with being on the council is to better the communication aspect with Adel City staff. Trout describes that he is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community.
“Just honored that people thought I would be a good fit and so (they) trusted enough to vote me in.”
He adds that he is looking to create a more collaborative environment between the city, the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District and Dallas County. All the votes still need to be canvassed by the Dallas County Board of Supervisors before Trout takes office.
