The Greene County 4-H Young Leaders are hosting a new event.
Greene County ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Samantha Hardaway invites any 4th-12th grader that has not been a part of the organization before to attend the New 4-H Member program on Monday from 2-4pm at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. She talks about why the Young Leaders wanted to do something new like this.
“We want our 4-H members to be aware of opportunities that you have in 4-H and how you can become involved in 4-H. So we wanted to create an event that new members that have just signed up for 4-H can kind of learn all the ropes.”
Hardaway points out that some of those areas that will be discussed at the program include what a club meeting looks like, how to bring a project to the Greene County Fair, among others. Monday’s event is free and no pre-registration is necessary.
