A Rippey woman was recently arrested for allegedly possessing drugs and distributing them.
According to court documents, on November 15th, a Jefferson Police Officer responded to a call from a business about a woman who was reportedly asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle, while that vehicle was parked and running. Court documents show that after the driver, 45-year-old Tamra Mills, woke up, the officer noticed a baggie of what appeared to be marijuana.
The criminal complaint states that the officer then conducted a probable cause search and found several other drug-related items, including marijuana, methamphetamine, Hydrocodone, smoking devices and gloves and empty baggies which were believed to be used for distributing the narcotics.
The affidavit shows that Mills was arrested and charged with a Class B Felony for a controlled substance violation, two Class D Felonies for her third or subsequent offense for possession of a controlled substance violation, a Class D Felony for intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana, an aggravated misdemeanor for her third or subsequent offense for possession of marijuana and a simple misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mills was booked and remains in the Greene County Jail under a $30,000 cash or surety bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
