Becca Anderson
No one could have imagined the path Becca Anderson has taken to get back on the basketball court after she transferred to Greene County High School from Paton-Churdan more than two years ago. She had a stellar freshman season for the Rockets, then had to sit for 90 schools days following the transfer since she didn’t move into the Greene County School District to begin the 2023-24 school year.
Once becoming eligible, she quickly became the leader scorer and floor leader for the Rams during the 2023-24 season, but after just a handful of games, a torn knee ligament vs. Saydel ended not only the rest of that campaign, but all of last basketball season as well after reconstructive knee surgery in March of 2024.
Anderson told Raccoon Valley Radio she had a much less invasive surgery on the knee this Fall to “clean up” things, but she reports being healthy and ready to go. The senior played well in the Nov. 15 scrimmages vs. Paton-Churdan and Martensdale-St. Mary’s.
